COVID-19 Employer Resources
The City of Chicago launched the CVOE program to conduct vaccine outreach by providing awareness and educational resources to employers throughout Chicago. The aim is to give employers the opportunity to provide employees access to information on the benefit of the vaccine and educate them on safe workplace practices. The City of Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) is focusing on local businesses with limited access to healthcare. As a CVOE Program grantee, (Your Organization Name), is responsible for recruiting qualified Business Service Organizations (BSOs) as subgrantees to conduct business education about the importance of immunization to reduce COVID-19 transmission in our community.
Information for BSOs
Qualified BSOs may contact us on how to become a subgrantee to conduct vaccine outreach and events in their service area. (Your Organization Name) will provide the funding and guidance for the BSO to deliver educational awareness, amplify employee engagement, and collect data on program activity efforts. (Your Organization Name) will encourage immunization campaigns in high vulnerability service areas. Funding is dependent upon the service area coverage, program personnel, and description of the planned work for each of the following categories:
- Door to Door Canvassing & Distribution of Informational Materials
- Must coordinate vaccine outreach for all licensed businesses in a commercial establishment within their service area, providing information and education on the COVID-19 vaccine, benefits, and accessibility.
- Distribute marketing materials.
- Multilingual staff to support communities of diverse backgrounds.
- Events (e.g. workshops – virtual/on-site)
- Hosting informational online trainings and workshops for COVID-19 vaccine.
- Offer and conduct in-person or on-site training, where necessary.
BSOs will be required to complete the self-paced virtual Vaccine Ambassador program on behalf of CDPH (Chicago Department of Public Health) to become trusted messengers of the COVID-19 vaccine information.
Approved BSOs will be asked to complete deliverables on a monthly basis. More information to be provided upon acceptance to the program.
